Empire Farm Days takes place August 5th to 7th at the Rodman Lott & Sons Farms in Seneca Falls, New York. The show is for every aspect of agriculture from large producers to small farmers to rural lifestyle enthusiasts. The latest in farming technology and equipment will be showcased at Empire Farm Days. There will be daily seminars and information on agriculture recycling, soil health, and farm safety. There will also be seminars and demonstrations for animals including beef and dairy cows, alpacas, horses and goats. There will be a wide variety of vendors discussing the latest in agricultural and farm technology, equipment and safety. Minnesota Farmfest – Morgan, Minnesota – Booth # 4212
Minnesota Farmfest takes place August 5th to 7th at the Gilfillan Estate in Morgan, Minnesota. The show is produced by IDEAg Group. This agriculture tradeshow has it all from political forums to educational seminars to a tractor pull! The daily schedule of events lists the seminars and special events. The show has a special young farmer’s day as well as a career fair. There is a craft, toy, and home pavilion for those that are not attending the seminars. Minnesota Farmfest is very important for political reasons, as there are special forums discussing issues for rural Minnesota featuring candidates from both parties for Governor, Congress, and the Senate. The seminars include topics such as grain marketing strategies, the latest information on the New Farm Bill, Bit Data and Agriculture, and Climate Change. There will be a Bio-Diesel Pull-off tractor pull courtesy of the National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA). There is a Chevy ride and drive demonstration, a farm safety carnival, and drone technology demonstration. AKE Safety Equipment will be at Booth 4212. Wisconsin Farm Technology Days – Stevens Point, Wisconsin – Booth # B157
Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is the largest agricultural show in Wisconsin and one of the largest shows in the United States. The show is held in a different county in Wisconsin every year and is hosted by a different farm. This year’s host families are Blue Top Farms and the Feltz Family Farm. Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is held August 12th to 14th at their farms in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The show covers everything from gardening tips to the latest improvements and innovations in production agriculture. There are educational exhibits, special interest displays, and field machinery demonstrations. The University of Wisconsin extension, state and federal agencies will be on hand to answer questions about running the farm to new technologies. There are over 600 vendors for the show. Pennsylvania Ag Progress Days – Pennsylvania Furnace, Pennsylvania – Ag Choice Building
The Pennsylvania Ag Progress Days is the largest outdoor agricultural exposition in the country. The show runs August 12th to 14th and each minute of the 3 day event is packed. Over 45,000 people visit the show with six percent of this group actively engaged in agricultural programs. The event features the latest technology and research for the agriculture industry. There are educational exhibits and programs and there is even a guided tour of working farms. The event is held at the Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center and is sponsored by the Penn State College of Agriculture Sciences. Over 400 exhibitors from 34 states and 4 Canadian provinces will be spotlighting the latest information on animal sciences, farm business management, crops, soil and conservation, the latest in energy production, food and cooking demonstrations, health and safety, forestry, yard & garden, and much more. There are events for the entire family to enjoy! There are over 80 acres for crop and machinery demonstrations and 55 acres of indoor/outdoor exhibits. There are also hands-on tours of local farms daily during the event. These tours highly the various aspects of farming and the agriculture industry. National Tractor Pull – Bowling Green, Ohio
The 48th Annual National Tractor Pulling Championship will return to Bowling Green, Ohio August 15th to 17th at the Wood County Fairgrounds. This premiere tractor pulling event has a purse of over $150,000 in prizes and money. More than 60,000 people attend the tractor pull over the 3 day event. Many classes of tractors and semis are represented in the tractor pull including: Two Wheel and Four Wheel Drive Trucks, Mini Rods, Super Farms, Open Super Stock, Diesel Super Stock, Pro Stock, Modified, Unlimited Modified, and Super Semis. The event was started by the North Western Ohio Tractor Pullers Association (NWOTPA) in 1967 and has been going strong ever since. There will be events for the entire family including a movie night, fan appreciation day, a concert, kids and adults pedal pull, a toy show, and a retired tractor museum. Dakotafest – Mitchell, South Dakota – Booth # 2412
IDEAg Dakotafest is taking place August 19th through August 21st at the Schlaffman Farm in Mitchell, South Dakota. This premier agricultural event draws over 30,000 attendees from all over the Northern Plain States of South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming. AKE Safety Equipment will be at Booth 2412. There are educational agriculture seminars provided by South Dakota State University extension for training on the new Farm Bill provisions, food security and safety, tax management tips, and drone technology. There is also a political forum for candidates for the United States Congress, Senate, and Governor of South Dakota. There will be special events including bull riding and family activities and exhibits. There will also be chute demonstrations and ride and drive demonstrations throughout the event. Farm Progress Show – Boone, IA – Booth # 9302
The Farm Progress Show, the largest outdoor farm show in the United States, will be taking place August 26th through 29th in Boone, Iowa. There are over 600 exhibitors at the event showcasing the latest information on crop chemicals, safety equipment, and side-by-side field demonstrations of combines, tillage tools, and precision agriculture products. Agriculture manufacturers and suppliers from all over the country are exhibitors. AKE Safety Equipment will be exhibiting at Booth 9302 in the Varied Industries Tent where we will be featuring the benefits of the STOP-FYRE fire extinguisher. There is a great interactive map for the show where you can plan your day (s) at the show. There will be live cattle handling demonstrations, animal health products, rural-life programs, entertainment, horse training exhibits, and an antique machinery display. In conjuncture with the Farm Progress Show, country artist Jerrod Niemann will perform on Wednesday, August 27th at the Harvester Plaza at the Iowa State Center.
