AKE Safety Equipment attends IDEAg Dakotafest
The 18th Annual IDEAg Dakotafest is taking place today through Thursday, August 22nd at the Schlaffman Farm in Mitchell, South Dakota. This premier agricultural event draws over 30,000 attendees from all over the Northern Plain States of South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming. According to “The Daily Republic”, Mitchell’s newspaper, this year’s Dakotafest could set attendance records. There are over 570 local and national companies exhibiting at the event including AKE Safety Equipment. The exhibitors are showcasing the latest information on topics such as animal health, tractors, trucks, safety equipment, financial services, farming equipment parts and equipment, feed and fertilizer to just name a few.
Farmers come from miles around to share information and learn about the latest techniques and technology for the farming industry. There are educational forums, field and livestock demonstrations that showcase the latest in farming technologies, auctions, town hall meetings with congressional representatives and much more. The show is owned by the American Farm Bureau Federation, which is the largest farming lobbyist group in the world. IDEAg is one of the producers of the events. They also put together 3 other major farming events throughout the year: Farmfest at Redwood City, Minnesota in early August, Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show on December 3rd -5th at the Amarillo Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas and the Northern Illinois Farm Show on January 9th and 10th in DeKalb, Illinois. AKE Safety Equipment also attended Farmfest and will be a vendor at the Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show in December. The IDEAgGroup’s mission is to produce interactive and high value events that connect “producers to providers of new innovative solutions in agriculture.” They also provide the latest information on new technologies for farming industries via “Interconnectivity”.
