Properly package all used units in a single box, write AKE on it, and place it in a location where the shipping company usually delivers your packages.
4. Your used units are sent to our facility
We will arrange for a shipping company to pick up your box within two business days. AKE Safety Equipment covers all shipping expenses for your refill (free shipping applies to the 48 contiguous states of the United States).
Once We Receive Your Units
We inspect the unit(s) to be sure it has not been damaged. If damaged, we will replace it with a new unit only charging you for the amount of extinguishing agent used.
We will weigh the unit(s) to determine how much agent you used. If you do not already have a pre-arranged fire extinguisher refill agreement, we will refill your unit at a charge of 45 cents/gram.
We inspect the unit(s) to be sure it has not been damaged. If damaged, we will replace it with a new unit.
We will ship your refilled unit(s) back to you. We strive for same-day turnaround of your refill(s) internally, but because of shipping time, the entire refill process could take up to 10 business days. The cost to refill these is a flat rate of $1,815 (Classic) and $2,475 (Premium).
Once We Refill Your Units
5. Payment for your refilled units is captured
You will receive an email from authorize.net when your unit(s) are ready to be shipped back to you. Please submit payment at your earliest convenience.
6. We send your refilled units back to you
We promptly ship your refilled unit(s) back to you. The entire refill process takes up to approximately 10 business days.
